iCareWeCare
Challenge
iCareWeCare is a provincial campaign run by the Department of Infrastructure & Development (DID), which aims to encourage residents of the province of Gauteng to pledge to protect the property of the province against the destruction and vandalism of public property.
The main plan is to educate and inspire the residents of Gauteng to participate in the protecting and preserving of property of the communities that they live, work and do business in. Encouraging them to also pledge to the cause and take a stand against the destructive activities done by angry community members.
Outcome
The goal was to get 1 Million people to pledge to protect public property and report any destructive behaviour done on public property.
We established a fresh, bold look for social media, the website and animation. We wrote a script based on the objectives of the campaign. A story board was then illustrated for the purpose of finally creating animation to captivate and engage the audience. The animation videos were used on social media for awareness on pledging.
We designed and developed a responsive HTML website, with the intention of being able to expand the site further down the line. This website was designed so people of Gauteng and other provinces could pledge to protect the property of Gauteng. For ease of use, a submenu for the campaign was added with anchored links for the different day’s activities. To showcase previous years events we introduced a simple yet effective image gallery.
